DE TRAFFORD GARDEN COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES AVAILABLE

The cottage is situated behind the manor house at the edge of the oak forest that surrounds the De Trafford winery, and is set within the beautiful garden of Mavis Trafford - visited by many garden enthusiasts from around the world.

De Trafford is right at the end of the long, winding Blaauwklip road, 9km from the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. Nestled between the Stellenbosch and Helderberg Mountains, 360m above sea level. The 200ha Mont Fleur property has a 5ha vineyard, but is mostly covered in pristine fynbos vegetation – maintained by the Trafford family for the last 30 years.

The Garden Cottage consists of:

Main bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom with bath and shower. Double doors lead onto patio.
Second bedroom with two ¾ beds and en suite bathroom with shower only. Stable door leads out to small private balcony.
A tastefully decorated, spacious sitting room / dining room. Includes comfortable lounge chairs in front of the fireplace and 6 seater dining table. Double doors lead out to patio. TV, music system and broadband internet connection. No telephone.

An open plan, fully equipped kitchen with oven and separate scullery. A large, partly covered patio with table and chairs and a braai facility in the immediate garden.

All the rooms have views out over the garden with glimpses of the surrounding Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains. 

We require a minimum 3 night stay at the following rates:

• 1 Nov 2008 – 31 March 2009
  R1 500 per day for the cottage (accommodating a max. 4 persons)
• 1 April 2008 – 1 November 2008
  R1 200 per day for the cottage (accommodating a max. 4 persons)

Payment: A deposit of 50% will be required on confirmation of booking. The balance will be payable on arrival.
