De Trafford Collage 1995 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in approx. equal portions. It is the " second wine " of the cellar, the best barrels being reserved for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot labels. The wine is still carefully crafted in the same classic "vin de garde " style as the flagship labels and although not quite as concentrated, it should develop well in the bottle over the next 3 to 7 years.

Tasting Notes

A deep purple tinted colour.  One of the few wines from this boutique cellar that shows a slight minty character, which combines well with the subtle blackcurrant fruit and smokey, nutty aromas. This elegant wine with a soft dry finish combines well with most rich meat and pasta dishes.
