The De Trafford Blueprint Syrah carries an outstanding track record achieving consistently high ratings.

 

Most of the fruit for our Blueprint Syrah comes from specific blocks in our neighbours vineyard at Keermont, set aside for our use since the first vintage in 2003. We work closely with the Keermont team who produce some exquisite wines of their own. Usually some of our Syrah 393 is added.

'Blueprint' refers to the plan of the winery on the label. A reference to David Trafford's previous architectural career.

We use neutral, 225L barrels for our Blueprint as the tannins are naturally quite soft and we don't want to interfere with the lovely, complex, subtle falvours of this wine.

We recommend drinking the wine young to enjoy its vibrant youthful fruit and subtle tertiary flavours. However, most vintages can be kept at least 10 years.
