Vertical Tasting Series 2015

The release of our Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 seems like a great excuse to pull some wine from the cellar and revisit some older vintages. We produced the first vintage Cabernet in 1992, so tasting a line-up spanning 20 years is a wonderful reminder that South Africa can absolutely produce wines worthy of cellar space among the French icons.

We will be hosting an informal tasting of our Cabernets going back to the maiden vintage on Wednesday 5 August 2015 anytime from 17:00-19:00 at the cellar.

Our Vertical Tasting Calendar: Seeing as we’ve been jolted into action, we’re planning more verticals over the next few weeks. These are very informal tastings, come anytime from 17:00 – 19:00 for a line-up of our most impressive vintages going back as far as 1992.

Wednesday 5 August – Cabernet Sauvignon Wednesday 12 August – Shiraz (Syrah 393 & Blueprint) Wednesday 19 August – Elevation 393 – our single vineyard flagship Wednesday 2 September – Cape Winemakers Guild wines Wednesday 7 October – Chenin Blanc & Cabernet Franc Tuesday 13 October – Merlot

We plan to have a few bottles of selected vintages for sale so you may leave with something special in hand.

The aim is to update our tasting notes on older stock so serious collectors and the patient among you can refer to them when pulling older wines from the cellar. We have updated the tasting notes which you can access here.
